What is a satsang?
Satsang is an ancient tradition of meditating together for succour and courage – “It’s a Sanskrit word meaning sitting together in truth,” says Doc.
“The idea for an online satsang came to me a few months ago, whence all the good ones hail – that mad muse, along with clear instruction to focus on bringing people together at this time, to sit together in truth, in authentic communion with each other and that ineffable presence informing us all – that it’s important for this time and phase in light of the unprecedented challenge we face in terms of our very survival on the planet.”
Live & improvised
Barefoot Satsangs are usually held at 1700 UK time (GMT) every Sunday so people in as many time zones as possible can join in and benefit. Each satsang lasts about an hour and is totally unique, live and interactive. Doc will be: “improvising according to the energy in the room – to keep it fresh and real every time, rather than formulaic and dull.”
The first 20 minutes comprises Doc’s reflections on the world this week, before a 20-30 minute guided meditation and a 20 minute question and answer session, when he answers questions from participants.
He says: “The more of us who participate, who sit together in truth meditating (the literal meaning of satsang), the more powerful the effect will be for everyone, not just the people there but everyone they know, everyone they know and so on, six times till the magic touches everyone on the planet.”
Benefits
This is the fifth Barefoot Satsang series and Doc is thrilled at how people are benefiting from the experience. Here’s a few of their comments:
“Beautiful, moving, loving, what a wonderful experience,” said Hils
“I absolutely LOVED it!” Lisa said, “It was lovely to feel connected even though I was sitting in my little chair on my ownsome.”
And Nadia explains: “I thought it was an important event, meditating together all over the world. I was also pleased that the answer to someone else’s existential question exactly answered my own. Thank you all.”
Whilst Stefanie enthused: “Thanks for this awesome webinar satsang! I loved it and will recommend it to everyone I know!” and Julia said: “Wonderful and so powerrrful! Just on a physical level I have lost aches etc but on energetic levels can feel transformations taking place. A deep feeling of balance and contentment is manifesting.”
Liz sums up many participants’ thoughts: “Heartfelt Thanks for this evening’s Barefoot Satsang, I have no words at present except to say…… your energy is Beautiful and gently powerful.”
Affordable
Each Barefoot Satsang is extremely affordable at just $10 (that’s about £6 or 7 Euros) – or you can book the full series of six for $50, saving $10. For more information and to register and submit questions for Doc, visit www.barefootsatsang.com

Global Oneness Day on Monday 24 October features a star-studded free online telesummit in a bid to share and spread the message of oneness.
Neale Donald Walsch’s Humanity’s Team estimates that only two per cent of the world’s population are aware of oneness; something they are determined to change.
The full day online event features luminaries from the world of modern spirituality and personal development including Neale Donald Walsch, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Don Miguel Ruiz, Kenny Loggins, Lynne McTaggart, Bruce Lipton and Ganaji. They will be joined by a rabbi, a reverend, two ambassadors and a Hollywood movie star (Sharon Stone, no less), amongst others.
Organised by Humanity’s Team and The Shift Network, the day is aimed at helping you to experience oneness and bring oneness into the awareness of others. You will learn practical skills and tools to bring a sense of oneness into your daily life and create connections in your local community so you can share the work of oneness.
The day will help you to feel deeply connected and gain a sense of belonging within a global community of people. You will sense a return to your true nature and experience a ‘coming home’ to yourself, as well as feeling the joy of serving something bigger than yourself.
Dip in for an hour or two or immerse yourself for the full day – this is definitely one not to miss. For full details and to register, click here
Do you know where you’re going to?
September 24, 2011 by Sue

There’s a Diana Ross song that begins:
“Do you know where you’re going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to? do you know?
Do you get what you’re hoping for?
When you look behind you there’s no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?”
I was thinking about that song when I heard about a free webinar all about life purpose that my friend Neil Fellowes is running.
So many of us stumble through life without ever stopping, pausing and considering what we truly want and how we can best serve. Sometimes of course something happens that means we either have no choice but to take time out, evaluate and put our priorities in order, or we simply can’t bear to retain the status quo.
Taking stock and getting life on track – then keeping it on track – has been a passion for Neil because his own life has featured abuse, divorce debt, parenting issues and career ruts. He turned his challenges into victories and invites you to do the same.
I’ve known Neil for some years now and find him to be a gentle, authentic person as well as a successful businessman, devoted husband and father – so if you’re looking to get and keep your life on track, check out Neil’s webinar when he’ll be teaching:
• What it takes to live life on purpose
• How lack of purpose in your life and/or career can affect your well-being, damaging your immune system and creating illness, plus how you can avoid this
• How your ego stops you and how to overcome challenges it presents to living a life ‘on purpose’
• Key wisdom for finding and aligning meaning and purpose in life
Neil’s dedicated more than 16 years of his spare time to exploring life purpose so he has plenty wisdom to share and the most interesting thing is that he believes he has honed down a process to follow that works. So if you’re interested in finding your life purpose, check out the free webinar

Principle founder of the human potential movement, visionary thinker and one of America’s most noted scholars of human capability Dr Jean Houston is holding a teleconference on Tuesday 13 September to help you discover and live your true purpose.
Endorsed by no less than Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson and Bill Clinton, amongst others, this is one teleconference not to miss if you have a sense of urgency around giving your greatest gift to the world, but have been struggling and searching as to how exactly to make a meaningful difference.
Aiming to help you live a life that is as deeply fulfilling as it is meaningful, Jean will be exploring how to activate your body, mind, and spirit—to equip you with the kind of resiliency, vision, and creativity that transcends ordinary human capacities.
Says Jean: “Fulfilling your life’s purpose requires a software upgrade. You need a new ‘operating system’ for life. These are skills that aren’t taught in school, they aren’t recognized by our institutions, and you don’t hear about them on the news.”
So if you would like to learn those skills just register for the 75 minute call during which Jean will help you turn the inspiration you feel within into powerful, purposeful action. The call will be recorded and available if you are unable to attend live.
