Stephen explains: “My vision is for thousands of people celebrating human evolution, chanting the sacred sound of the universe – the OM – together and causing such a powerful vibration, the whole world feels it as an undeniable blast of healing.

Nature of Self conferences, Holland & US
March 26, 2012 by Sue

If you’re interested in science and non-duality (the philosophical, spiritual, and scientific understanding of non-separation and fundamental intrinsic oneness) then it’s worth a trip to ‘The Nature of the Self’ conference in The Netherlands 29 May – 3 June, or California 24-29 October.
The events bring together pre-eminent thinkers from various fields of science into dialogue with spiritual teachers and practitioners and people seeking answers to the big questions in life.
By doing so it’s hoped to contribute to healing the rift between science and spirituality and support the emergence of a new kind of spirituality, responsive to the latest findings in physics, biology, neuroscience, psychology and ecology.
Deep inner inquiry
Deep inner inquiry over thousands of years has led philosophers and sages to conclude we are all part of one constant, ever present, unchangeable essence of existence, which can be called awareness, consciousness, spirit, Advaita, Brahman, Tao, Nirvana or God.
In the last century some Western scientists began arriving at the same conclusion. The universe is comprised of a single ‘substance’, presumably created during the Big Bang, and all sense of being – consciousness – subsequently arises from it. Fundamentally we are individual expressions of a single entity, inextricably connected to one another.

Being and Becoming with Andrew Cohen in California
February 24, 2012 by Sue
Filed under latest news & views, learn, mindset, see & do
Want to make positive change in the world as well as your own life? A seven day spiritual retreat in the wide open spaces of California’s Mojave Desert aims to empower you to embrace the process of change as your spiritual practice and to actively play your own role in shaping the future.
Led by Andrew Cohen, founder of EnlightenNext and best-selling author of ‘Evolutionary Enlightenment: A New Path to Spiritual Awakening’, the Being & Becoming Retreat, will immerse you in the experience, principles and vision of ‘Evolutionary Enlightenment’.
Evolutionary Enlightenment
Andrew acknowledges that change is often challenging—whether you’re aspiring to change yourself, the world, or both – but he believes there is a source of deep inspiration that can carry you beyond personal and cultural obstacles as you engage with the inevitably complex process of change.
Evolutionary Enlightenment is a spiritual teaching uniquely equipped to meet the challenges of life in the twenty-first century. Through meditation and shared
philosophical and spiritual inquiry, you’ll discover the deeper dynamics of what it means to transform not yourself and the relationships and values you share with others.
One of only three opportunities of its kind this year, The Spring 2012 Being & Becoming Retreat is a rare opportunity to benefit from Andrew’s twenty-five years of experience at the leading edge of individual and cultural transformation.
About Andrew
Since 1986, Andrew has been travelling the world giving public lectures and leading intensive retreats. Through his writings, teachings, and ongoing dialogues with leading philosophers, scientists, and mystics, he has become known as one of the defining voices of a new “evolutionary spirituality.”
With Evolutionary Enlightenment, Andrew has brought the timeless depth of enlightened wisdom into the twenty-first century and significantly redirected its purpose and promise–calling not for transcendence of worldly attachment, or even for compassionate care and service, but for a deep and heroic responsibility for the evolution of the world.
Deepak Chopra says of him: “Andrew has the pulse of modern life at his fingertips. His diagnosis of the demands and distractions of our noisy, busy world shows the accuracy of a skilled diagnostician”
Booking
The retreat will begins with dinner on Saturday 17 March and ends after lunch on Sunday 25 March. Prices range between $1,700 to $2,700, inclusive of three vegetarian meals a day, exclusive of travel. Full details and booking information here
