Robert Holden and Nick Davis hold their annual A Course in Miracles (ACIM) workshop, ‘Love Changes Everything’. on Saturday 4 February in London, with online streaming for those unable to attend the live event.

The workshop focuses on 12 aspects of Love that can be expressed in the world, practices which keep us in touch with Source and enhance the awakening of those whose lives we touch.

A Course in Miracles is an inward journey back to who we truly are. Once that journey has been made, a reawakening occurs and the Love that we are now aware of transforms everything we previously saw in the world into a vision of Love. Yet, when we have awakened to Love, which is enlightenment, what on earth are we going to do?

Nick and Robert address this and combine to bring ACIM practices to life with practical teachings on how Love Changes Everything.

The workshop costs £75, with lunch by donation. Online live streaming between 9.45am to 5.00 pm UK time costs £38. For further information and booking details visit:

What is a satsang?

Satsang is an ancient tradition of meditating together for succour and courage – “It’s a Sanskrit word meaning sitting together in truth,” says Doc.

“The idea for an online satsang came to me a few months ago, whence all the good ones hail – that mad muse, along with clear instruction to focus on bringing people together at this time, to sit together in truth, in authentic communion with each other and that ineffable presence informing us all – that it’s important for this time and phase in light of the unprecedented challenge we face in terms of our very survival on the planet.”

Live & improvised

Barefoot Satsangs are usually held at 1700 UK time (GMT) every Sunday so people in as many time zones as possible can join in and benefit.  Each satsang lasts about an hour and is totally unique, live and interactive. Doc will be: “improvising according to the energy in the room – to keep it fresh and real every time, rather than formulaic and dull.”

The first 20 minutes comprises Doc’s reflections on the world this week, before a 20-30 minute guided meditation and a 20 minute question and answer session, when he answers questions from participants.

He says: “The more of us who participate, who sit together in truth meditating (the literal meaning of satsang), the more powerful the effect will be for everyone, not just the people there but everyone they know, everyone they know and so on, six times till the magic touches everyone on the planet.”

 Benefits

This is the fifth Barefoot Satsang series and Doc is thrilled at how people are benefiting from the experience.  Here’s a few of their comments:

“Beautiful, moving, loving, what a wonderful experience,” said Hils

“I absolutely LOVED it!” Lisa said, “It was lovely to feel connected even though I was sitting in my little chair on my ownsome.”

And Nadia explains: “I thought it was an important event, meditating together all over the world. I was also pleased that the answer to someone else’s existential question exactly answered my own. Thank you all.”

Whilst Stefanie enthused: “Thanks for this awesome webinar satsang! I loved it and will recommend it to everyone I know!” and Julia said: “Wonderful and so powerrrful! Just on a physical level I have lost aches etc but on  energetic levels can feel transformations taking place. A deep feeling of balance and contentment is manifesting.”

Liz sums up many participants’ thoughts: “Heartfelt Thanks for this evening’s Barefoot Satsang, I have no words at present except to say…… your energy is Beautiful and gently powerful.”

Affordable

Each Barefoot Satsang is extremely affordable at just $10 (that’s about £6 or 7 Euros) – or you can book the full series of six for $50, saving $10.  For more information and to register and submit questions for Doc, visit www.barefootsatsang.com

How to develop inner strength & personal power

September 2, 2011 by
Filed under latest news & views, learn, mindset, watch, we like, wellbeing

As we approach 2012, I don’t think I can ever remember a time when there was so much uncertainty in the world.  Helping people to stay strong in the face of such uncertainty and to remain steady, calm, relaxed and centered no matter what life throws at you is the aim of Barefoot Doctor Stephen Russell’s eight week online video based training course ‘School for Warriors 1 – The Eight Principles of Personal Power’.

Although this is a martial arts based training, it’s not about learning how to fight physically like a warrior – but about developing inner strength through learning the inner martial arts. In doing so, you can ensure that, however tough life gets, you have the focus, energy and spirit to not just survive, but thrive.

Stephen calls this ‘the warrior’s way’ and it’s a way that he has personally walked for 40 years. School for Warriors-1 is the result of those 40 years of practice and 30 years training others in these techniques. Although these transformational skills have been handed down from Taoist sages in ancient China, Stephen has brought the trainings bang up to date for busy people in the modern world.

And whilst martial arts can take decades to master, School for Warriors offers daily exercises that take an average of six minutes to practice, and so can be fitted in and around your life.

These skills were once so secret they were the preserve of the emperors and their warriors, but Stephen has demystified them and explains them in a simple way to help you transform your life by transforming your relationship with yourself.

Don’t take my word for it however – these are comments from graduates:

Patsy – “ I have been more confident in my own abilities and, certainly in my work environment, to stand up for myself and believe that the service I offer is valuable. I do not panic so often and don’t get paranoid about other people not valuing me. I am much calmer. “ Patsy

Chris – “Thanks Doc, you (and SFW) has become such a massive, positive part of my life, I honestly feel empowered!”

Sara-Jane – “SFW has been the key to enabling me to transform my reality in an amazing way …..dealing with the ups and downs that are an inevitable part of it and keeping my balance much more succesfully – just brilliant!”

Julian – “I am going to do SFW1 again and build from there. I feel I can keep going and get more of what I want and be happier in my own skin.”

John – “I would wholeheartedly say to everyone to try the course. Your life will be changed for the better and you will experience levels of peace and happiness you never thought possible.

Do you have limiting vows around money?

August 1, 2011 by
Filed under latest news & views, money, watch

We’ve all heard of limiting beliefs and fears, but what about limiting vows?  Tapping expert Margaret Lynch believes we can hold limiting vows in our chakras – the energetic data bases of our bodies.

Releasing such vows, the unconscious commands that drive our lives, enables us to experience deep healing and make important shifts in our life.

If you’re a bit short of cash right now, this could be a good time to have a look at a series of free videos which Margaret has produced to show you how simple tapping techniques can help you change your relationship to money.

Even if money, finances, and wealth are not your key motivators, the exercises can help you with limiting beliefs about sex, love, safety, health, and happiness, which are also stored in those chakra databases.

There are four free videos in total and all are rather pertinent in today’s economic climate, so if you’re feeling the pinch, tap along with Margaret Lynch – I’m curious to know how you get on!

Eckhart Tolle, Ram Dass, Wayne Dyer & Kim Eng events in Maui

July 29, 2011 by
Filed under latest news & views, see & do, watch

Hawaii is the place to be if you want to see and hear Eckhart Tolle, Ram Dass, Wayne Dyer and Kim Eng live at the end of October – or online as there’s a live webstream.

Eckhart will be in conversation with Ram Dass and Wayne Dyer about spiritual awakening and the transformation of consciousness. This will be followed by separate retreats with Kim Eng and Eckhart Tolle.

Eckhart & Ram Dass

On Friday 28 October Eckhart talks with Ram Dass author of Remember, Be Here Now – published 30 years before Eckhart’s Power of Now.  An eminent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer, Richard Alpert changed his name to Ram Dass at the instigation of his guru Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, whom he met in India in 1967.

Ram Dass began an intense dharmic life after the encounter, pursuing a wide range of spiritual methods and practices from potent ancient wisdom traditions, including bhakti or devotional yoga, Buddhist meditation and Sufi and Jewish mystical studies.

His practice of karma yoga or spiritual service has opened up millions of other souls to their deep, yet individuated spiritual practice and path.  Despite a near fatal stroke, Ram Dass continues to uphold the boddhisatva ideal for others through his compassionate sharing of true knowledge and vision.

Eckhart & Wayne Dyer

On Saturday 29 October, it’s Wayne Dyer who will be conversing with Eckhart. Possibly the world’s best known personal development teacher other than Eckhart, Wayne is author of over 30 books including Manifest Your Destiny, Wisdom of the Ages, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem, and the New York Times’ bestsellers 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace, The Power of Intention, Inspiration, Change Your Thoughts—Change Your Life, and now Excuses Begone.

Kim Eng Presence through Movement

Kim Eng’s three day retreat will be held from 7.30pm Sunday 30 October to 12 noon Tuesday 1 November to help you learn how to access inner stillness and sustain it in everyday life.  Meditation and movement exercises include slow, gentle, Yin Yoga poses, Qigong to restore natural life energy and T’ai chi Presence-infused movements.

These practices activate life energy, clear energy blockages, and increase physical well- being and aliveness. No prior knowledge of yoga, t’ai chi, or other body-based spiritual practices is required. The exercises Kim teaches are gentle, enjoyable, and suitable for most people regardless of age or physical fitness.

Eckhart Tolle retreat

Stay on in Maui for Eckhart’s own retreat from 8pm Tuesday 1 November 1st to Thursday 3 November.  With “nature is a portal to presence” in beautiful Hawaii, people from all over the world will come together to open individually and collectively to the silence and joy of Being and to surrender to the depth and beauty of the present moment. There will be daily teaching sessions with Eckhart, and also time for enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings.

Attend live or online

There are 700 seats for each of the above events at the Hyatt in Maui, apart from Kim Eng’s retreat which is open to 120 people.

Eckhart’s talks with Ram Dass and Wayne Dyer are held from 1pm-4pm and priced at
$125.00 for premium seats, $100 for regular seats and $19.95 for live web cast stream.

Kim’s retreat is priced at $325 and Eckhart’s at $695 – with the live stream at $99.
